Blowing Rock Brewing Company is proud to present American Honor Ale House. We have selected this name for our brew pub at Hollar Mill for the ideals we admire and strive to achieve.
When in the course of human events it becomes necessary for a people to advance…and to assume among the powers of the earth the equal and independent station to which the laws of nature and of nature’s god entitle them… We hold these truths to be sacred and undeniable; that all men are created equal and independent, that from that equal creation they derive rights inherent and inalienable, among which are the preservation of life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness…
…And for the support of this Declaration we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our Sacred Honor.
Thomas Jefferson, June 1776. From the original rough draft of the Declaration of Independence
A century after these principles enlightened a nation; free thinking innovators, leaders & defenders incorporated their ideas and transported the world through the ‘Machine Age’ of the 20th century. All humankind was propelled toward new frontiers.
